My Warhammer 40k Ork collection is a true labor of love. Many of these models have been converted heavily, almost to the point of scratch-builds. If you've ever attended the 40k Friendly event at Adepticon then you may have seen some of these first-hand. :D
I built and painted these models for Games Workshop's 2017 Armies on Parade competition. I converted the Glotkin model into a Great Unclean One by sculpting a new arm for him and building him a sword out of styrene. My approach to painting was to avoid green completely as that's the typical Nurgle color, and to focus on using washes over an off-white base to build up color gradually while keep things pale and sickly.
I don't always paint space orks, it just feels that way to some! :P
These are mostly one-off models. Some were painted up for competitions, some just for fun. The organic shapes and varied color possibilities make for great palette cleansers when you're painting up a ton of yellow armor. ;)
Just some things that don't fit neatly into the other galleries. Plus, the place looks way snazzier with three galleries, and snazziness is important! :P
